Launching a Machine Learning Solution with an Animated Product Demo

Project Brief

When Kiva AI prepared to launch their innovative data labeling solution, they needed a video that could both educate and excite. The challenge? Communicating advanced AI and machine learning concepts in a way that business leaders, data scientists, and industry professionals could quickly understand, and see themselves using.

We partnered with Kiva AI to create a 2D animated product demo that highlights their expertise in expert-led, AI-assisted data labeling. The video introduces Kiva AI’s approach and sets it apart from competitors, by highlighting it’s unique solution: leveraging top subject-matter experts to improve machine learning.

To reach a wide audience, we showcased real-world use cases: medical data analysis, wildfire and natural disaster prevention, and large language model optimization. Each example made the solution feel concrete, relatable, and impactful, sparking curiosity about other possible applications.

The result is a video that balances expertise, solution, and impact: three essentials for a successful AI product launch. Kiva AI now uses the video across their website homepage, YouTube channel, sales meetings, demos, and trade shows.

By meeting both technical audiences (like data scientists and machine learning engineers) and business decision-makers where they are, the video positions Kiva AI as a trusted partner in advancing machine learning performance.

Why 2D Animation Works for Product Demos

In competitive industries, first impressions matter. A well-crafted 2D animated product demo captures attention, simplifies complexity, and makes abstract technology tangible.

Animation provides the flexibility to visualize concepts that are otherwise invisible, like data flows, model training, or abstract concepts. It also creates consistency in branding, making every touchpoint with the audience feel polished and credible.

For Kiva AI, animation offered a way to connect with both highly technical and non-technical audiences. By combining clear visuals with storytelling, the video showed not only how the product works, but why it matters, leaving viewers with a memorable and actionable understanding of the solution.
