ScPharmaceuticals needed an accessible way to educate patients about heart failure fluid buildup. Together, we created a three-minute whiteboard explainer that accomplishes several related goals: the animation helps patients understand what fluid buildup is, how it happens, what they can do about it.
The video covers symptoms to watch for, preventive strategies, and treatment options, making a complex medical issue easier to grasp with relatable characters and familiar challenges. By centering the patient perspective, the animation builds clarity, empathy, and confidence around an often intimidating diagnosis.
This project highlights how animation supports marketing and outreach goals. ScPharmaceuticals used the video across multiple channels including YouTube, their website, social media, and through patient advocacy groups. We also produced it on a fast turnaround, allowing them to premiere it during Heart Failure Awareness Week.
