Project Spotlight: Kid to Kid

kid to kid animation

Kid to Kid Southpoint Durham, a children’s clothing consignment store, came to us with a unique challenge. They wanted a 30 second advertisement to show in a local movie theater to promote their business. This would be the first time one of our animations was shown on the big screen, so we gladly accepted!

We used a few techniques to make sure this short video delivered. We used bright colors and a jaunty music track to make it eye-catching and appeal to parents and families. We also used narration and visuals to tell a story parents will relate to — kids growing up and outgrowing clothes … fast! Then, we present the solution — an affordable children’s clothing store, literally right down the street. Not only can you purchase affordable clothes and toys, but you can sell your old stuff for cash or store credit. We even included a map with neighborhood landmarks to show just how local the store is.

Kid to Kid is a great company and was a pleasure to work with. It feels good to work with a small business to further their mission of helping families, parents, and kids. And it’s super fun to imagine our whiteboard animation playing before the movie in a full blown movie theater.
